DAY 9 REGUA - PINHAO - VEGA DE TERON (Spain)

Excursion today : Vila Réal, famous for the variety of its religious architecture. Stroll through the beautiful gardens of Solar de Mateus.
Join the ship again in Pinhao. Afternoon spent cruising through the heart of the famous Porto vineyards, passing the locks or Valeria and Pocinho, arriving in Vega de Teron in the evening. Spanish evening on board.

DAY 13 For anyone who has chosen to stay one night in Porto, you will be leaving for the airport early morning for your flight back.

DAY 7 COIMBRA - BUSSACO - AVEIRO - PORTO

Today enjoy a scenic drive to Porto via the Natural Park of Bussaco and Luso (Mineral Water Town) . A stop will be made at the Ria de Aveiro where you will board an old "Moliceiros" for a short cruise. Lunch at an Auberge to taste the local Suckling Pig roasted on an open fire. Arrival in Porto at 5 pm.

DAY 10 BARCA D'ALVA - SALAMANCA (Spain) - SENHORA DA RIBEIRA

Enjoy an excursion to Salamanca, Spain. This town of dazzling beauty houses some extraordinary Roman, Arabic, and Christian architectural treasures.

Return to the ship in Barca d’Alva at the end of the afternoon and continuation to Senhora da Ribeira. Gala evening on board.

DAY 4 SINTRA - PENA PALACE - CASCAIS

Following breakfast you meet your guide who takes you on an exciting day-trip to one of Portugal's most beautiful destinations - Sintra, famous for its fairy-tale castles and beautiful sceneries.

Enjoy a guided visit to the Moorish Castle - the historical 9th-century fortress built by Moors, where you spend some time walking to the castle walls to be awarded with breathtaking views of Sintra. After that you visit the fairy-tale National Palace of Pena to see its most interesting halls and rooms, including the Arab Room and the Queen’s Throne room.

Following lunch you continue your journey through the beautiful landscapes of Sintra-Cascais Natural Park to Cabo da Roca - the westernmost point in Europe, “where the land ends and sea begins”. You make a stop there to enjoy the views and take advantage of excellent photo opportunities.
Passing by the Boca do Inferno cliff you finally arrive at Cascais - the charming 12th-century coastal town, where you have free time to wander around its historical center.

After the tour you are transferred back to your hotel in Lisbon.

DAY 8 PORTO - REGUA

Visit of Porto, one of the oldest cities in Europe, awarded World heritage status by Unesco, with its unspoiled old quarters, maze of narrow winding streets, houses with archways and splendid churches. However, Porto is known first and foremost for its famous porto wines from the vineyards which stretch as far as the eye can see along the banks of the Douro.

Return to the ship and cruise onto Regua, admiring the marvelous scenery that the cruise offers. You will pass the locks of Crestuma and Carrapelato, which is the highest in Europe at 36m. Enjoy the “Crew” show tonight. Meals B,L,D

DAY 11 SENHORA DA RIBEIRA - FERRADOSA - FOLGOSA - LEVERINHO

Early morning start cruising to Ferradosa.
Excursion : wines trail Porto excursion. Follow the wine road which runs through the heart of the vineyards before stopping to taste some of these vintages in a quinta (winecellar).
Back on board at Folgosa for lunch. Cruise towards Leverinho. Admire the wild landscapes and impressive rocky outcrops along the way. Folk evening. Meals B,L,D

Embark our brand new river cruise boat, the M/S Miguel Torga and join us for a welcome drink followed by dinner. Join our hostess for a romantic visit of the illuminated old town.

DAY 2 LISBON

Arrive Lisbon in the Morning. Your Tour Manager, Timothée, will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel in the center of Lisbon.

This afternoon, join your guide for a scenic ride on the famous trolley in the center of Lisbon, enjoy a coffee break at Bakery "Aloma" in Campo De Ourique  and try the typical cake of Lisbon (Pastel de Nata), join us on a walking tour of the Chiado district and enjoy the panoramic view of the city from the Sao Pedro De Alcantara belvedere.  Join your guide and Travel Manager for an orientation briefing and a welcome drink. DAY 6 COIMBRA

Today enjoy a full day tour that will include the town of Coimbra with its University (the oldest & most prestigious in Portugal), The famous Library (home to more than 30000 books in a richly decorated room inlaid with Chinese lacquerwork, inlaid furniture and gilded and marbled wood) and the Throne, The Assembly room, and the San Miguel Chapel.
You will also discover the most impressive Archaelogical Roman Site on the Iberian Peninsula "Conimbriga"

DAY 3 LISBON

DAY 5 LISBON - TOMAR - BATALHA - COIMBRA

This morning you will leave Lisbon for Tomar where you will visit the incredible Convent of Christ, one of Portugal highlights and one of its seven Unesco World Heritage Sites.  Visit the convent and the castle.
Lunch will be served at a local winery (Casal Das Freiras). 

This afternoon you will make a stop in Batalha, at the  "Mosteiro de Santa Maria da Vitoria", the country's finest example of Gothic and Manueline architecture, the last resting place of the unknown soldier and a memorial to one of the defining moments in Portuguese history.
Transfer to the town of Coimbra.

Overnight at the privately owned Manor House  Palace Quinta Das Lagrimas.
